Signage Program
The signage program created for GCDS included several different sign types. We built this system in conjunction with existing school branding. For larger signs, such as the entrance sign, we used their branded typeface and for smaller signs we used an ADA compliant sans serif type. Signage materials were inspired by the materials used by the architect. Using both non-directional aluminum and corten steel to create monument and flag style signs.

Athletic Wall Graphics
In order to have an athletic brand throughout the locker room and athletic departments, I created two wall graphics, both incorporating the school’s tiger mascot. In the tunnel leading from the locker room to the athletics field, we created a stripe motif in combination with chevron arrows. Both of these images keep a very classic educational feel while also implying their mascot.
On the wall between locker rooms we created another wall graphic with an illustration of the tiger. This wall is to remain a cement block unfinished wall. I decided to work with the material rather than working against it by creating a gestalt effect with highlighted bricks. This gives an impression of the image both coming together and falling apart.
